Don't feel bad that you didn't mark either of my replies as the solution, as they did not solve the problem you are having with the touchpad.

22 Ιουν 2024 · The touchpad worked from the initial install. I did not have to chase any driver or software or anything. There has been a note that there are three firmware updates available, one of them is for the Elan Touchpad. I've ignored any update since it works fine. I have dual booting and when I go back to windows 11, the touchpad works. STRANGE.

Same issue again after a restart Went into Control Panel, Device Manager and Uninstalled the Elan driver's from there and restart my computer and then reinstalled the Elan driver and after a restart IT WAS FIXED "No more issues with the annoying message after restarting regarding ETDctrlHelper.exe "SOLVED!"
