MOD. Why would Elden Ring not support cross play between PC and Console? Discussion & Info. My friends and I are going back and forth on this topic and I can’t wrap my head around why FromSoftware would not support cross play. Looking for answers to both sides of the issue.

Elden Ring is cross-gen but not cross-play. Meaning you can play between PS4 and PS5, you can play between Xbox one and Xbox X but not PS consoles and Xbox consoles. PC guys can only play with PC guys.
I think it's possible if From Software releases a Microsoft Store version of Elden Ring. For example, if you have Ark for steam, you cannot cross-play with Xbox players, but if you have Ark on the Microsoft Store, then you can, because you are using the same account, servers, etc. Very unlikely.
19 Σεπ 2024 · Elden Ring offers crossplay for systems in the same family. So, Xbox One , Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X players can all play together. That goes for PS4 and PS5 players, too.
