12 Φεβ 2018 · Create parameters called Start Date and End Date. These should be a date/time range and attached to your date field. Set the minimum for the Start Date parameter to 1/1/2015 and leave the max date unchecked for both of the parameters.
Change Date Levels. Applies to: Tableau Cloud, Tableau Desktop, Tableau Public, Tableau Server. To change the date level of a field, drag it to Rows or Columns (or another shelf), click its context menu, and then select a level. Each level has a preview to indicate the effect of the setting.
You'll want to set both times to 12:00:00 AM and then save, close, and reopen your workbook to make the times go away. Then you'll want to set your Default Date Format (right-click on dimension name, look for Set Default) for that column to be mm/yyyy.
My solution to this is to duplicate the date field. Drag the copy to the filters shelf and set it for the minimum date you want to be available. Then right-click that filter and click "Add to Context". Now your other date filter will only include dates after the minimum you set.
