We very much enjoyed our meal at Ellsworth. We went on a Saturday night, and the place was busy with seemingly happy diners - some Brits, some American, many locals and some families. The food is very good - imaginative vegetarian options and great fish. The fried chicken start was delicious.
$$$ tasty upscale spot if you're looking for a wide variety of different and unique dishes. The venison meat pie was delicious and surprised us. But the MVP...the fried chicken! It was amazing... perfectly fried with ranch dressing. I only wish there was more of it or a larger piece in sandwich form.

We came herelast year with a craving for fried chicken. We return whenever the craving hits. Ellsworth uses pieces of marinated breast meat with a bead coating. It is served with a buttermilk sauce. The chicken is tender and juicy. The menu is a prix fix with 3 options each for appetizer, main and dessert.
The fried chicken was absolutely amazing along with the steak tartare with bone marrow. The restaurant is very cute and quaint, and especially at night, has a very romantic feel to it. We had excellent service speaking English and thoroughly enjoyed all the dishes we had here.
