11 Μαρ 2024 · There are surviving examples of the eMachines never obsolete computers with intact stickers on them, and that’s why it’s still a joke today. By the time Web 2.0 made sharing graphical memes easy, eMachines no longer existed as an independent company and most of us had forgotten about that ludicrous claim.
I had an eMachines computer once, but I don't ever recall there being a promise that it would never be obsolete.

26 Οκτ 2003 · The computer Vayne describes is a pretty good machine. The only thing I'd do is put a better modem in it as soon as I bought it. Find a hardware modem somewhere and you would have a good set up.
eMachines was a brand of economical personal computers. In 2004, it was acquired by Gateway, Inc., which was in turn acquired by Acer Inc. in 2007. The EMachines brand was discontinued in 2013. History. eMachines M5405 laptop.
19 Μαρ 2006 · Emachines is owned by Gateway. We bought 2 identical budget Emachines PCs in July and within 4 weeks the hard drive of one had failed! Assume this was bad luck, but a good lesson in backing up your files.
