I've been doing a lot of searching and I've tried InkSkape's InkStitch (find it confusing...with not much documentation) and Embird's software has been fairly easy to understand and the price (for the bundle) seems fairly reasonable. My main question, is it worth the money. Can I produce good quality embroidery designs with it?

I looked up ratings for different software and found embird was highly enough rated for my price point, and what i wanted to do. I bought the base software, digitizing plug-in, and the font engine.
If there is one tip I can offer, it is use the "Troubleshoot" on each object as you draw or digitize it. Use it before you go to "Params" or "Simulator". It will tell you if the shape is valid, and save you lots of frustration.
