The role of education management information systems in supporting progress towards SDG 4: recent trends and international experiences
This document, part of the presentation carried out in the Regional Forum on Education Policy in 2021, summarizes and expands on Use of Education Management Information Systems (EMIS) for effective monitoring of SDG4 at national, regional, and global level.
The paper recommends that countries work to strengthen EMIS in at least four functional domains: management and administration; planning; policy formulation; and monitoring and evaluation.
