10 Φεβ 2014 · On the WPC page you will find the following Health Care Code Lists: Claim Adjustment Reason Codes. (link is external) (CARC) Claim adjustment reason codes communicate an adjustment, meaning that they must communicate why a claim or service line was paid differently than it was billed.
Adjusting Denied Claims • Timely Filing – The Timely Filing function allows the provider to adjust a denied claim up to 24 months from the date of service (DOS). The initial claim must be submitted within 12 months of the DOS. https://www.emomed.com
Along with listing the claim, the RA lists an “Adjustment Reason Code” to explain a payment, denial or other action. The Adjustment Reason Code is from a national administrative code set that identifies the reasons for any differences, or adjustments, between the original provider charge for a claim or service and the payer’s reimbursement for it.
The Remittance Advice (RA) is a computer generated report that contains seven different types of information concerning claims that were submitted to MO HealthNet by the provider. The seven types of information are: Paid Claims. Denied Claims. Suspended Claims. MO HealthNet Program RA Messages. Third Party Liability (TPL) Information.

DENIED CLAIM OPTIONS on emomed.com. If there is a denied claim in the MO HealthNet emomed system, then the claim can be resubmitted as a New Claim. A denied claim can also be resubmitted by choosing Timely Filing, Copy Claim-original, or Copy Claim-advanced.
Providers can submit MO HealthNet claims electronically that require a TPL or Medicare denial remittance advice. This is done with the 837 transaction or the MO HealthNet Internet claim forms located at emomed.com. If the 837 transaction is chosen, please refer to the Implementation Guides for assistance.
