Organizations who wish to verify the employment of an Emory University employee should use an automated external employment verification service designated by Emory University called The Work Number.
To verify employment eligibility, all Emory University new hires must complete Form I-9 and go through the E-verify process.
According to HR policy on student employment, a student employee is any current and in active status Emory student who works for Emory for pay. Students may be employed only in a temporary (employment) status. Emory students enrolled in post graduate programs will be considered for regular employment status with Emory on a case by case basis.
E-Verify All new employees are screened through E-Verify, an online identity and immigration status verification system. HR will let you know if there are any problems getting E-Verify approval.
