1 Δεκ 2018 · The diagnosis of Alzheimer disease (AD) affects not only the patient but the entire family and their supporting caregivers. Understanding the stressors that affect these individuals enables us to provide the support and care they need to remain happy and healthy despite living with the diagnosis of AD.
The current review focused on the perceptions of informal caregivers with regard to the holistic experience of caring for a person with dementia, including the positive and negative aspects. The included studies reviewed the diverse feelings and emotions that caring brings to caregivers.
