14 Σεπ 2007 · The number of unemployed persons in July 2007 was reported at 2.8 million, resulting to an unemployment rate of 7.8 percent. Two regions recorded a double-digit unemployment rate, namely, National Capital Region (NCR) at 13.1 percent and Central Luzon at 11.5 percent.
This coincided with the rise in wage and salary employment (5.0%) and the increase in full-time employment (4.7%). Unemployment rate fell to 7.3% from 8.0% a year ago – due in part to the decline in labor force participation rate (LFPR) from 64.2% to 64.0%.
15 Μαρ 2007 · The employment rate in January 2007 was estimated at 92.2 percent, which placed the unemployment rate at 7.8 percent. This means that nine in every 10 persons in the labor force were employed. By comparison, the employment rate in January 2006 was 91.9 percent.
