While the employment rate improved, the number of employed persons decreased by 1.6 million from July 2020 (41.3 million). This is due to the lower LFPR in the 3rd quarter of 2020. The majority, or 22.8 million employed Filipinos, were in the services sector, followed by 9.7 million in agriculture and 7.3 million in the industry sector. Table 5
