Intensive English Program. This course series helps international students meet their personal, academic, and professional goals through intensive English language study. Our exceptional professors and state-of-the-art technology ensure a superior program of instruction.
Level placement. The Intensive English Program and English Essentials offer five levels of study: Beginner, High Beginner, Intermediate, High Intermediate, and Advanced. Each tier can be completed in one semester.
Anyone can make referrals to Student Conduct regardless of affiliation with Virginia Tech. We use the Student Code of Conduct to determine violations. Email us at studentconduct@vt.edu or submit a report using one of the forms listed below.
In addition to rules set out in this handbook, all LCI students are responsible for knowing and following all university policies, rules, and regulations as outlined in the Student Code of Conduct, the Housing & Residence Life Policies, and their respective Undergraduate or Graduate Catalog.
The Student Code of Conduct is regularly reviewed and revised to improve clarity, update policies and processes, and include the expanding and diverse populations of students across all Virginia Tech campuses and programs.
The Student Code of Conduct is overseen by the Office of Student Conduct. The university’s conduct system supports the educational mission of the university by educating students about appropriate behavior and fostering a community in which students can flourish academically and personally.
Located in Blacksburg, Virginia, a quiet, semi-rural community that is home to a major research university, the English Language Institute helps students meet personal, academic, and professional goals through intensive English study. Class sizes are small, living expenses are comparatively low.
