Intensive English Program students purchase health insurance through a reputable third-party health insurance company. It is recommended that students purchase a policy that meets Virginia Tech’s international student medical insurance requirements.
The Intensive English Program is a multi-level academic preparation course designed to help international students make the transition to American academic life. The program offers five levels of study based upon students’ proficiency levels: Beginner. High Beginner.
New students applying from overseas and seeking a student (F-1) visa or F-1 students transferring to the LCI from other schools must provide documents proving sufficient funds to cover tuition, living expenses, and health insurance for the period of study.
