Housed within the stunning architecture of the College of Saint Benilde’s School of Design and Art (SDA), designed by local architect Ed Calma, the Museum of Contemporary Art and Design (MCAD) is the only space in Manila and the Philippines that approximates an international contemporary art museum and gallery space.
The museum, owned and operated by the National Museum of the Philippines, was founded in 1998 and houses a collection of paintings and sculptures by classical Filipino artists such as Juan Luna, Félix Resurrección Hidalgo and Guillermo Tolentino.

Paintings. The National Fine Arts Collection is maintained by the National Museum of the Philippines and is currently housed at the National Museum of Fine Arts, Old Legislative Building, Manila. It is composed of a significant number of paintings, sculptures, icons, sketches, mixed media, and photographs by Filipino visual artists.
