I presume it's a scam as I am being constantly hit with emails claiming that my primary account is the recovery account for some Internet random. These messages are either Asian or Polish.
18 Φεβ 2023 · It is not a scam, it is link to Microsoft account recovery form used to recover access to Microsoft account. After you submit the form, you will receive the results of your recovery request to the working email address you provided at the beginning of the form within 24 hours.

27 Μαρ 2024 · If you believe your account has been compromised, submit a request and select security problems, then I think my account has been hacked. Make sure you include the username of the affected account and tell us why you’re concerned.

If a social media account went bye-bye, the follow-up may involve asking you for your connected email login to “work some tech magic”.
16 Δεκ 2022 · If you’ve had an account hacked by a scammer, reach out to the platform (i.e., Gmail, Amazon, Facebook, etc.) and follow the steps of the their account recovery process. Take action: If refund scammers have your personal information, your bank account, email, and identity could be at risk.
