However, its internal three-dimensional covalent interconnection structure brings barriers to its degradability and recycling because covalent bonds cannot be broken easily.
Epoxy resins are thermosetting polymers known for their versatility and acceptable properties that have taken credit for a wide variety of applications. To make epoxy resins cross-linked, one needs the use of a proper curing agent.
The methods and synthetic modifications of epoxy resins discussed in this review may provide sundry approaches towards the development of multifunctional epoxy resins for varied composite applications.
