20 Νοε 2008 · Wondered how good ER Shaw barrels were. What kind of accuracy has been gotten out of them. Notice that they only do 1 in 8,10 or 12 twist in a 308 Cal. Will the 1 in 8 work for 208 to 240 grainers or is there gonna be some problems with the twist????
21 Ιουν 2017 · Many barrels with common over bore used by LR shooters have 1000-1500 rounds life. BR tradition would have thorough cleaning every 10-20 rounds and then needing 1-3 foulers IMO cut down on cleaning till it actually meaningfully effects accuracy.

28 Δεκ 2017 · I haven't looked at their complete rifles but have looked at their Salvage prefits and own a 243 barrel, the twist rates seemed to be too slow for every caliber if you want to shoot the high BC heavy for caliber bullets. My 243 barrel is very accurate with 95gr SST's, it will consistently make 5 round groups at or close to 1/2".

8 Μαρ 2017 · I have Shaw barrels on two rifles. The .338 on a '98 action is accurate but not fun to shoot. It took a very nice Idaho elk for me. But the .243 on a Remington '03 A3 action will do 3/4 MOA or better. I called Shaw just to brag about it.
