20 Νοε 2008 · Wondered how good ER Shaw barrels were. What kind of accuracy has been gotten out of them. Notice that they only do 1 in 8,10 or 12 twist in a 308 Cal. Will the 1 in 8 work for 208 to 240 grainers or is there gonna be some problems with the twist????

21 Ιουν 2017 · BR tradition would have thorough cleaning every 10-20 rounds and then needing 1-3 foulers IMO cut down on cleaning till it actually meaningfully effects accuracy. Those rounds instead be used for the main intent of the weapon be it critters, paper, or rocks and cow pies.

23 Οκτ 2010 · I have one of their 1/8 barrels on my AR that will occasionally run 1/2 and always 3/4-minute 5-shot groups @100. I don't know how it compares to better custom barrels, but it's much better than any factory tube I've seen.
8 Μαρ 2017 · I have Shaw barrels on two rifles. The .338 on a '98 action is accurate but not fun to shoot. It took a very nice Idaho elk for me. But the .243 on a Remington '03 A3 action will do 3/4 MOA or better. I called Shaw just to brag about it.
30 Σεπ 2017 · The 2 inch barrel length advantage of a 24 inch vs a 26 inch should be around 50 fps and if that translates into 1300 vs 1350 fps at the target, it could make a huge difference in accuracy. 1350 fps is the transonic speed where bullet stability tends to go to pot, and of course, accuracy with it.
