20 Νοε 2008 · I would have never considered an ER Shaw barrel until I ran across a 24” stainless sporter contour with barrel nut wrench, go and no go gauges on closeout for $200 from Midway.
28 Νοε 2020 · My Shaw barrel in 6.5 CM was a copper mine. It shot terrific when clean, but accuracy went south as it coppered up, and it did that very quickly. They make a decent hunting rifle, but not so much if shooting groups in targets. Use it for what it was designed for and you'll be quite satisfied.
8 Μαρ 2017 · Shaw use to supply a lot of commerical accounts. They are decent barrels and priced right. I'd not recommend them for serious target work, but for hunting good. Avoid their special all fluted barrels, the whole length. They warp and walk all over the place as they heat. And you MUST float them. But they look cool!!!!
10 Ιαν 2023 · What kind of accuracy has been gotten out of them? They only do 1 in 8,10 or 12 twists in a 308 Cal. Will the 1 in 8 work for 208 to 240 grainers, or will there be some problems with the twist?
