21 Σεπ 2024 · I've had 3 ER Shaw barrels and they were all decent shooters, for hunting guns. They were in the .5-.75 MOA range with the right load. They were all a little picky though. Have you tried thinking outside the box on your bullet selection? I've had a lot of guns that wouldn't shoot the bullets I wanted them too, but were great with the right load.
21 Ιουν 2017 · So far they all 5 shoot very good, much better than a factory rifle. But the two ER Shaw barrels are both outstanding as you can see above. They say a barrel and best accuracy are seen after 200 or so shots...can't wait to see what these two riflesh will do then!
10 Ιαν 2023 · I have seen folks on the Rimfire boards state that ER Shaw is an upgrade for the Ruger Predators, so if I were building or rebarreling I would have no problem trusting a Shaw barrel. That said I think 1/8 will be better for 240gr, while you probably want 1/10 for 208/215.
8 Σεπ 2018 · Bottom line, for $250, this barrel is a major upgrade over stock (at least for me) and for the cost, puts me well within precision needed for long range practice on the cheap. I put rounds down range at 215yds on a 3" target, hitting 8 of 10 at that range.
5 Νοε 2012 · Are they any good. I picked up one of the 20" threaded Savage .308 barrels last year just to have a bolt .308 option again (now has the .243 barrel on the action). I'm not sure on durability but it shoots MOA with the right loads at 100-300yds (not had past there). For the $130 I paid for it, it was a great value.
27 Φεβ 2018 · I've had 2 ER Shaw barrels, one in 35 Whelen on a Mauser and the other on a 375 Ruger. Two of my friends have them also, one in 30-06 on a Rem700 and another on a Mauser in 30-06. All have been good shooters capable of MOA performance.
15 Σεπ 2011 · I purchased a 338-06 barrel for Sav 110 through Brownells in kit form and it shot lights out, though taper was a bit heavy for my taste. I sold that here and ordered another in a lighter taper in the AI version of that same cartridge.
