21 Ιουν 2017 · Many barrels with common over bore used by LR shooters have 1000-1500 rounds life. BR tradition would have thorough cleaning every 10-20 rounds and then needing 1-3 foulers IMO cut down on cleaning till it actually meaningfully effects accuracy.
20 Νοε 2008 · When I worked for an up & coming AR piston company, our first few hundred barrels were from ER Shaw. They shot well enough & seemed to be consistently 1 MOA barrels. I have seen them shoot well enough that for an economy build where absolute precision is not your first concern, I would use one.
27 Φεβ 2018 · I have a Savage 110E with wood stock w/ pillars, bedded, and free floated in .270 win. I can get an ER Shaw barell with barrel nut, barrel nut wrench, and headspace go nogo gages for about $220-250, a factory savage bolt is about $30, then I'd probably go with a Christensen slayer brake.
2 Απρ 2010 · I've bought four (4) Shaw barrels from M1S for use on different AR15 builds, and all four shot acceptably well. None were stunningly sub-MOA but all delivered solid MOA-ish performance inside of 300 yards in a variety of free-floated upper configurations using generic non-optimized handloads.
21 Ιουν 2017 · I have a Shaw barrel on a Ruger action in 6.5 Creedmoor and am very happy with it. I pull a dry bore-snake through it after each trip to the range, and clean for real about every 200 rounds, which never takes much effort or many patches.
