When society and technology coexist, technology is able to drive people to have accessibility without time limits. The objective of this study is to describe the overview of the Era of Society 5.0 seen from the perspectives of materialism and existentialism in social sciences.
A study on the urgency of Society 5.0 was previously conducted by Mahmudi (2019), but this study focused specifically on the perspective of social theory, particularly from the paradigms of materialism and existentialism. These perspectives see changes in society in terms of material and existence.
