Follow these steps to enroll a new student in the district. 1. Create an ASCENDER ParentPortal account and log on. Before enrolling a student, create a user account in ASCENDER ParentPortal in order to obtain a user name and password to access the system. When you access ParentPortal, the Login page is displayed. Click Create Account.
Creating a Parent Portal Account In order to register a new student or fill out returning student forms, the parent will need to create a ParentPortal account if they do not already have one with the Jim Ned Consolidated Independent School District.
Occasionally, users set up a new account and still have trouble - usually because they are using a special character in their password or their password is too long. The guide will address all of these issues.

To begin the enrollment process, parents and/or legal guardians of new students will need an active email address to access. This email account will also be used for important communication with your child's school.
