David Adetayo Olusoga OBE (born January 1970 [1]) is a British historian, writer and broadcaster. He is Professor of Public History at the University of Manchester. [2] Olusoga has presented historical documentaries on the BBC and contributed to The One Show and The Guardian. [3]
Specializing in oral tradition, indigenous religion and early kingdoms of the Western Sudan, David regularly returns to his research villages in Guinea and Mali, and in 2008-09 he was ethno-historian of a Yale University research project on the Baga peoples of Guinea.
