If you wanted a 100% historically accurate map of the Earth with 1 to 1 map projection scale for EU4's timeframe, you need like least 10x more playable land provinces to the world map (Vanilla EU4 has 3170 land provinces, i think about minimum 30000 land provinces needed for a full detailed map of the Earth).
Working on a 1444 HRE map, might make a map of Britain in 1444 with all of those tiny hundreds shown and the accurate divisions of the irish and the scots
the map took 3 months to create, i had an easy start with getting research for countries because as stated in R5 comment i am one of the devs of Voltaire's Nightmare mod, essentially the research was done in advance for a mod making that part easy for the map
28 Μαρ 2021 · Europe (Detailed) - AD 1444 - EU4 Colours, NV. - updated my slightly old 1444 map of Europe and this version contains a lot more cities than the older map and i even added a few more countries. All based on my real-world map of Europe in 1444.

The map (or Main Map) is the main "stage" of the game during play, and is what the player will be watching most often for ongoing developments and changes to the world. The map comprises most of the Earth, apart from the polar caps.
10 Απρ 2018 · Since I couldn't find a pre-existing map of EU4's countries in 1444 beyond 1.23, I updated it with all the new provinces and nations in the Japan and England Update. You can use this map for anything you like.
