28 Φεβ 2020 · The folders there are named after the steam id of the mod. You can find that in the URL of the workshop page of the mod. You can also search the .mod files in Documents\Paradox Interactive\Europa Universalis IV\mod with a text search tool to find which mod name has which number.
With the new launcher the mods are in the folder "steamapps\workshop\content\236850". Per default it is in "C:\Program Files\Steam" or "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam" under windows. Under Linux it is in ~/.steam/steam/ or ~/.local/share/Steam.
5 Νοε 2019 · Two files need to be updated in order to complete relocate the game data folder. Both files are under EU4.exe binary folder (typically at C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Europa Universalis IV. "gameDataPath": "C:/Users/Me/Saved Games/Paradox Interactive/Europa Universalis IV".
In the Paradox Eu4 folder (C:...\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Europa Universalis IV\mod), there are only "ugc_684459310.mod" files that are around 1 kb. with contents like this: name="Addon Beyond Typus Miscellanea".
Start the game - the mod should be listed in the launcher, activate it there (or, if you're using Mac or Linux, in Steam right-click EU4, go to Properties -> Set Launch Options and add: '-mod=mod/[name].mod').
4 Νοε 2019 · What did work for me was to specify the userdir in a launch option in the eu4 properties in steam. The launch option has to be "-userdir=" (without quotes) followed by the full path to the folder where you want to store the game data.
27 Σεπ 2024 · Mods can be downloaded and installed manually from User Modifications sub-forum (game registration needed), or automatically from the Steam Workshop. The mod installation folder is: Windows: ~\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Europa Universalis IV\mod\
