The WHO updated its global air quality guidelines (AQGs) in September 2021. In this revision, focused on PM, ozone, NO2, SO2 and carbon monoxide (CO), the WHO adjusted almost all its recommended limit values downwards compared with the guidelines' previous version dating back to 2005.
