Your journey to a job in city government starts here – and it requires you to take a civil service exam. Your score can qualify you for current available job openings related to the exam. Click on the arrow below to find the exam you want to take, which will begin your registration process.
Through OASys, aspiring and current City employees may apply for exams and pay for application fees online, obtain information on their scheduled test sessions and the results of their exams, and become eligible for merit-based civil service positions.
The civil service exam schedule for the entire year is released annually every July, and is available in alphabetical order or in application period order. DCAS also releases a monthly exam schedule, which you can receive over email by subscribing to our NYC Jobs Newsletter.
