The tub is the most important washing symbol on the care label. It explains how your clothes should be washed, with which programme and at which temperatures. If your laundry needs gentle care, you will see one or more lines below the tub. In Europe, the proper washing temperature is shown directly inside the tub icon.
WASHING CARE INSTRUCTIONS AND SYMBOLS The symbol indicates whether domestic washing is pos-sible and applies both to hand and machine washes. The numbers in the washtub specify the maximum washing temperatures in degrees Celsius which must not be ex-ceeded. The care symbols indicate the maximal severity of the care treatment.
Two dots washing symbol indicates machine wash on warm, not exceed- ing 40°C or 105°F. Three dots indicate machine wash on hot, not exceeding 50°C or 120°F.
The ISO international care label gives care instructions using a sequence of symbols in the order washing, bleaching, drying, ironing, and professional textile care.
