18 Αυγ 2009 · Gel-Paste should be added to a plastic mixing cup to make all repairs. One of the six basic colors may match the gel coat. If so, mix approximately 1 part pigment to 20 parts gel paste (in other words, fill the cup 1/4 in and add approximately 1-2 inch bead of pigment from the tube).
16 Ιουν 2024 · I used the one-step gelcoat and it worked out fine. Some gelcoats require more than one step for the gelcoat to harden properly. A serviceable repair is easy, but getting a showroom finish takes time and patience.
18 Αυγ 2009 · Gel coat is best applied by spray application with a pressure pot or catalyst injection system. Gel coat also can be applied with a standard paint gun with primer nozzle (70-80 thousandths) at 40-50 psi or Preval sprayer. Make sure that the catalyzed gelcoat does not set up inside the sprayer.
