This guide will describe the process and tools used to make maps for the Everquest II Modular Atlas Project (EQ2MAP). The aim of this guide is to enable the average EQ2 player with no special computer skills to create a clean, usable, and accurate map.
Version: 1.3.2 This version will install EQ2MAP and keep it up to date every time you launch this program. It does require that you have the Microsoft .NET framework installed or it will be installed for you.
This section will cover getting and installing all of the tools and files that you will need to generate your map. We will cover locating and organizing your files and directories to keep everything neat as you work your way through the map making process.

The EverQuest II Modular Atlas Project, or EQ2MAP, is a database of user-created maps and user-submitted Points of Interest, or POIs, with an in-game User Interface mod that adds dots to the map that display information about those POIs.
