The Journal of Business Anthropology is an Open Access journal which publishes the results of anthropological research in business organizations and business situations of all kinds. Based on fieldwork, participant-observation and more general ethnographic methods, the journal’s articles, case studies, and field reports have three objectives:
7 Δεκ 2021 · In the article, drawing on nearly two decades of research – fieldwork with women on Wall Street, consulting work as a business anthropologist and a new project on global gender equity initiatives based in the United Nations – I discussed the challenges of studying ethnographically the global gender policy movement.
A Companion to Organizational Anthropology. The Blackwell Companions to Anthropology offers a series of comprehensive syntheses of the traditional subdisciplines, primary subjects, and geographic areas of inquiry for the fi eld.
Journal of Business Anthropology. The premise of this article is that the expansive domain of business, as expressed in its market-transaction based, organizational, and institutional forms, has influenced the development or “making” of anthropology as a discipline and a profession for the better part of a century (i.e., since the 1920s).
