  1. Many of the recently reported condensates are involved in various aspects of development. These include embryogenesis, seed germination, flowering time control, photomorphogenesis, root growth, apical meristem development, chloroplast biogenesis, spermatogenesis, and pollen cell wall formation.

  2. Combined with genetic and biochemical approaches, researchers have begun to establish a link between the condensation of biomolecules and biological functions. The challenge, however, is unambiguously demonstrating the necessity of condensation in a cellular process versus the macromolecule itself.

  3. 23 Μαΐ 2024 · There are, however, a growing number of plant-specific condensates that support different cellular functions. Condensates operating in different plant tissues contribute to aspects of development and stress responses. To view this SnapShot, open or download the PDF.

  4. 9 Νοε 2020 · In this Roadmap, we discuss representative examples of biochemical and cellular functions of biomolecular condensates from the recent literature and organize these functions into a series of...

  5. We’ve outlined both in-person experiments and virtual labs you can use to teach photosynthesis! 1. In-person lab: Measure rate of photosynthesis in spinach leaves

  6. 22 Φεβ 2017 · Biomolecular condensates are micron-scale compartments in eukaryotic cells that lack surrounding membranes but function to concentrate proteins and nucleic acids. These condensates are involved...

  7. Biomolecular condensates are found throughout eukaryotic cells, in the nucleus, cytoplasm and on various membranes. They are also found across the biological spectrum, organizing molecules that act in processes ranging from RNA metabolism to signaling to gene regulation.
