27 Φεβ 2007 · I'm having trouble finding 15w-50 Mobil 1 Synthetic to use in the hydro system in my Exmark Hydros (Lazer and HP). My local auto parts store doesn't carry it anymore and the one other place that I know of that did carry it - was charging about $9/quart. Does anyone have a good alternative for the Exmark Hydro systems?

6 Μαρ 2010 · Look for an ISO 68- ISO 100 hydraulic fluid. That will work fine and reduce your cost. Save yourself some money and use a 20W50 oil. Cut your change intervals to every 200 hours. Yes Mobil did change there recipe. I was told that the Kawasaki motor oil is compatible with the Hydro Gear pumps. I use OE fluid and change every 500 Hrs.
1 Μαρ 2011 · Exmark machines use Mobil 1 15W-50, 1 quart. As mentioned above, the oil temperature is important. Using one 1 quart, the oil is not cooled very much, and runs very hot. Synthetic oil is better able to handle the high temperatures. Those using standard dino 20W-50, or other (10W-30) in your hydros, the quantity is much higher, probably 6 or 8 ...
If your hydraulic system operates in primarily cold temperatures, you should go for multigrade oil as a substitute for hydraulic fluid. If you choose an alternative that is too thick, the hydraulic system will not be able to draw the fluid from the reservoir.
