20 Αυγ 2019 · The damper recall didnt change anything with my crappy steering/wander in my 2019. The trackbar replacement is scheduled 2 weeks from now.
3 Μαρ 2016 · I was not experiencing any issues prior, but since it was a safety recall I had them do it. It was installed in the correct orientation and I have noticed absolutely no difference in the handling/steering whatsoever.
6 Ιαν 2024 · The steering dampener is a non-servicable component, just like the Rubicon lockers are not servicable. The only way to fix your steering dampener is to throw the Jeep away and purchase a new one. Reactions: tr21triton , Apparition , Cooper Smith and 2 others
7 Φεβ 2020 · On the day my steering dampener recall arrived it all became clear. It said something to the effect of, when the temp drop below ”x” you may experience this. I’d never correlated the cold weather with the issue but looking back that’s exactly when it happened.
13 Νοε 2021 · The service technician said the play was due to a faulty steering damper so it was replaced. I've been driving the JT for a day or so but it seems the excessive play is still there but maybe a little less after the steering damper replacement.
