7 Φεβ 2020 · I've had no issues and have not gone in for the damper. Don't want the dealership to mess with it unless it's a safety recall.
6 Ιαν 2024 · The steering dampener is a non-servicable component, just like the Rubicon lockers are not servicable. The only way to fix your steering dampener is to throw the Jeep away and purchase a new one. Reactions: tr21triton , Apparition , Cooper Smith and 2 others
3 Μαΐ 2010 · My steering damper was replaced today under recall by the dealership, with a MUCH bigger unit. If you still using the stock one find out about it.
Just saw this in my Ford Pass, steering linkage damper extended coverage. Anyone know what this means? Is it a recall on the damper?

Since the steering damper is designed to keep the steering column solid, a wobbly steering wheel is arguably the best indicator of a problem with this component.
