10 Ιουν 2006 · I just picked up a new steering damper to replace the stock piece of crap. It's an Italian made unit. Only 8 clicks of adjustment from none to very stiff, but it seems to be very effective.
28 Ιουλ 2023 · The symptoms of a failing steering damper include: Unusual vibrations and shaking in the steering wheel. Difficulty steering or poor handling, especially on rough terrain. Uneven tire wear patterns, indicating excessive forces on the tires. Excessive bouncing of the vehicle after hitting bumps or potholes.
27 Μαρ 2022 · You have nothing to lose, the recall is free. Try it, you can always spend your money later. I had it done, at 26,000 miles, not because it was needed, but now I have a new steering damper.
4 Απρ 2017 · #1 · Apr 4, 2017. On my RS i have the above, matched to the rear extreme tech shock. Anywho, is the steering damper serviceable? Mine decided to blow out an O ring and ejaculate its entire load into my eyes, outch! Taken it off to inspect but there are some typically italian fancy ends to it which require a special tool to disassemble as usual.
20 Αυγ 2019 · The damper recall didnt change anything with my crappy steering/wander in my 2019. The trackbar replacement is scheduled 2 weeks from now.
29 Απρ 2023 · This is a steering issue. You have a shitty lift which threw off your steering geometry. You need extended control arms or relocation brackets. Get it fixed right or you will wreck and kill yourself.
