23 Αυγ 2019 · Last week I had the steering damper recall taken care of. Today I experienced the death wobble for the first time. Any reason to believe there is a connection?
The recall, replaced the original steering damper part number 580AC with a revised set, part number 580AE. During it’s investigation into the problem, FCA, found that air was getting into the damper on the front suspension of the Jeep vehicles during cold temperatures.
20 Αυγ 2019 · The damper recall didnt change anything with my crappy steering/wander in my 2019. The trackbar replacement is scheduled 2 weeks from now.
3 Μαρ 2016 · I was not experiencing any issues prior, but since it was a safety recall I had them do it. It was installed in the correct orientation and I have noticed absolutely no difference in the handling/steering whatsoever.
29 Απρ 2023 · Been 2 years and haven't had a wobble. I know the stabilizer only masks the issue, but it masks mine enough that it is gone. My next plan was to go around and tighten all steering related bolts to torque specs.
