7 Οκτ 2020 · Has anyone had this recall completed, and if so, what were your results? The last thing I want to do is have it completed, then come out with worse steering than I currently have. I'm actually pleased with how it currently drives now.
4 Σεπ 2019 · I replaced my steering damper way before the recall and my wandering issues and loose steering were unaffected. When I got the recall notice, I brought my 19jl rubicon to dealer and told them about the loose steering.
12 Ιαν 2016 · The information posted below will provide you with some initial warning signs or symptoms of a bad or failing steering damper; so when noticed will permit you to be proactive about contacting an ASE certified mechanic to inspect and replace the steering damper if needed.
3 Μαρ 2016 · I'm Just informing all in this post that I was only aware of this this issue when I took my 2019 JL to the dealer for it's (complimentary, 4K mls. oil change, etc.). Staff member informed me of the recall and I authorized it to be completed free of charge.
The front suspension steering damper on your vehicle may not effectively damp oscillation of the steering system, resulting in a sustained shake or shimmy in the steering wheel. This can be more noticeable when driving at speeds exceeding 55 Miles Per Hour (MPH) 88 Kilometers
FCA will repair your vehicle free of charge (parts and labor). To do this, your dealer will replace the steering damper. The estimated repair time is half an hour. In addition, your dealer will require your vehicle for proper check-in, preparation, and check-out during your visit, which requires more time.
