If you saved your chats in secure storage from Messenger, you can restore your chats on a new device with a PIN. This is the PIN that you created when you first turned on secure storage.

Your encrypted chat history will then be restored. If you have not activated secure storage, your chat history will not be available on new devices.
You can use an Apple account, Google account, PIN, one-time code or 40-character code to restore your encrypted messages on Messenger.
