3 Ιαν 2022 · Part 1, Chapter 2 Summary. Winston is worried that he has been caught writing in his diary by Big Brother and that he is about to face the consequences. However, he is relieved to discover that the person at the door is his neighbour Mrs. Parsons, who is in her thirties but is described as looking much older.
3 Ιαν 2022 · Part 2, Chapter 2 Summary. Following their plan, Winston and the girl meet in the country. Winston doesn’t know what to believe, but does now think that the girl isn’t a spy. Julia properly introduces herself, and takes Winston to a hideout where she had previously also taken other men.
As agreed upon, Winston and the dark-haired girl meet in the countryside. Winston arrives early and waits for her to arrive. She arrives and motions Winston to be silent, for they could after all be in the midst of hidden microphones. He follows her to a clearing surrounded by tall trees.
1984 Part 2, Chapters 1-4. At work one morning, Winston leaves his cubicle to go to the bathroom. In the corridor, he sees the dark-haired girl again. She falls on her right arm, which is already injured and in a sling. When Winston helps her up she slips a small piece of paper into his hand.
Part 2, Chapter 2 Summary. On the appointed day, Winston made his way to the meeting spot. He arrived first and gathered some bluebells for the girl from the thick mass of them he had to walk through. She approached him from behind and made a motion to stay quiet. When they got a little further, she broke the silence.
