3 Ιαν 2022 · Part 1, Chapter 2 Summary. Winston is worried that he has been caught writing in his diary by Big Brother and that he is about to face the consequences. However, he is relieved to discover that the person at the door is his neighbour Mrs. Parsons, who is in her thirties but is described as looking much older.
1984 Part 2, Chapters 1-4. At work one morning, Winston leaves his cubicle to go to the bathroom. In the corridor, he sees the dark-haired girl again. She falls on her right arm, which is already injured and in a sling. When Winston helps her up she slips a small piece of paper into his hand.

Julia properly introduces herself, and takes Winston to a hideout where she had previously also taken other men.
