Edit: Apparently, the Epic version of New Vegas uses a version of the .exe file that is not supported by NVSE (New Vegas Script Extender). Means that most big mods don't work with the game, sadly. It might be possible after replacing the .exe file (for example with a "cracked" one), but no guarantees and you need to find it yourself.
Playing with mods, i noticed that if you run the game with NVSE (New Vegas Script Extender) it doesn't open the Steam API so Steam doesn't know that you're running it. The steam API checks if you have actually got the license for the game. So, theoretically, you should be able to: 1. Buy the game from Steam. 2.
I played Fallout 3 a while back, and got to 100% completion, but I haven't had a chance to play any Fallout game since. I've heard New Vegas is the best, so I'd love to give it a try!
