Fan coil unit for every type is mainly composed with the fan (worm gear, spiral casing), motor, heat changer (coil), air filter, electrical adjuster, with the main features as following: 1) Fan
1/2”, 3/4”, and 1” VAV piping packages, as well as HL, HP, VF, and VL fan coil unit packages, are factory assembled and shipped loose for field installation and wiring. Factory mounting is optional for some units.
The drain pipe can be PVC or steel. Connect the drain pipe to the unit. Pipe insulation is recommended to avoid condensation. The suggested slope of the drain pipe is at least 1/8" per foot, but local code will prevail. Refer to Figure 3 for typical piping installation. Suggested Condensate Trapping
The fan coil units are exclusively designed for ventilating, heating, filtering and cooling purposes. Water or water/glycol solution (max. 50%) may be used as the medium.

Units are standard supplied with sound proofed suction plenum, air filter and extra-long drain pan. Centrifugal fans, with forwards curved blades, are statically and dynamically balanced and moved by single-phase motor with three speeds (standard) plus one (optional).
