Fans are forward curved centrifugal type of double inlet, statically and dynamically balanced to ensure quiet operation. Air Filters: All Units are provided with 12.5 mm Aluminum Mesh filter as a standard option. Filters accessible from rear end of the unit and is easily removable by pulling out from unit frame. Fan Motors:
The trap should be constructed of 7/8" clear plastic piping. The condensate piping from the drain trap must be sloped to facilitate proper drainage. The clear plastic trap should be clamped and removable for cleaning. It may be necessary to manually fill the trap at system start-up, or to run the unit for sufficient time to build a condensate seal.
Refer to the installation manual of the fan coil unit for details on installing the fan coil unit. If air, moisture or dust gets in the water circuit, problems may occur.
This document shows a diagram of a typical fan coil unit piping connection. It includes temperature and pressure gauges, a motorized valve, balancing valve, and gate valves connecting the fan coil unit to a chilled water supply and return system.
