OHSAA Sports Regulations limit the number of participants on any non-interscholastic roster during all months except May 22, 2015 (the Friday prior to Memorial Day) and July 31, 2015 to no more than 50% of those that make up a starting lineup of a team. In baseball that “magic number” is 4.
These regulations apply to all interscholastic teams and contests, including but not limited to varsity, junior varsity, reserve, junior, sophomore, freshman and 7th & 8th grade teams. For additional regulations specifically for grades 7 and 8, see General Sports Regulation 9.
