You can dive into Far Cry 5's free weekend through March 27 Xbox Series X|S and PS5 with the new 60 FPS patch, as well as on Xbox One, PS4, and PC (through Ubisoft Connect. If you buy the game after playing during the free weekend, all of your progress will carry over to the full version.
This weekend Far Cry 5 will be free to play. Full game, co-op campaign and all. After this weekend, you will no longer be able to play for free. If you'd like to purchase the game, you can do so at a large discount. Your progress will carry over!
The map doesn't change after the ending, you can still roam independently on what you choose. However the main menu background will change.
Sure, you can free roam and all, but you'll only get maybe two straggler cultists an hour unless you trip Outpost Master, and that's not as fun as I expected it to be.
