This is the current-year General Schedule (GS) Pay Scale, effective for 2024. This table shows the base pay amounts for all General Schedule employees based on the 2024 GS Pay Scale, as published by the Office of Personnel Management.
29 Φεβ 2016 · The General Schedule Pay Scale is the most widely used pay scale for white-collar federal civilian employees. There are over 1.5 million federal employees on the GS scale. Positions range from administrative jobs to managerial and technical positions.
22 Δεκ 2023 · The General Schedule (GS) pay system (or “GS Pay Scale“) includes about 1.5 million federal employees in civilian white-collar jobs. The jobs are widely in clerical, administrative, professional and technical positions.
5 Ιαν 2023 · The federal government established locality pay in 1990, as part of the Federal Employees Pay Comparability Act (FEPCA). FEPCA was initially meant to counter the growing wage gap between the federal and non-federal job sectors.
Employees' pay will increase on the first day the rates go into effect, instead of having to wait for a full governmental pay period to receive their raise. This table shows historic pay raise information for the GS base pay table.
