The objective of this study is to evaluate the effects (benefits and harms) of two commonly-used conservative interventions: the figure-of-eight bandage versus the arm sling as treatments of middle-third clavicle fractures.
Rather than wait until the neighbors call the police, we prefer to stop the barking using a wonderful little training tool called a figure eight. This is not a bark collar, and should not be thought of as one. Rather, it takes the resistance and frustration away from a dog by taking the mouth away.

Fractures of the clavicle (collar bone) are common and this question comes up often. Unfortunately, there is no simple answer. To the best of our knowledge, there is very little scientific evidence to support one over the other -- or even to suggest immobilization over doing nothing is better.
